I curate this feed by hand from what I read every week as a VC funding strategist working with African and emerging-market founders. My filter is simple: does the story change how a founder should think about their raise, their pitch, or their investor shortlist? Anything that does not clear that bar gets cut.
Three patterns matter most right now. First, Series A graduation rates across Africa are still tightening, which means seed-stage founders need far cleaner metrics and a much shorter path to $1M ARR than the 2021 playbook suggested. Second, fintech and climate tech are pulling the majority of regional capital, but generalist funds are quietly re-entering agritech and healthtech at the pre-seed stage. Third, more investors are asking for a written narrative memo alongside the deck, not instead of it, so founders who can write clearly are winning meetings faster.
